HMC was engaged by Hammer Residences to leverage SharePoint to create a building maintenance management workflow process. Hammer Residences manages 40+ group residence homes for developmentally disabled adults. The director of maintenance for the homes spent approximately 90% of his time handling phone calls and requests for routine information and providing updates for home staff members and the building maintenance employees. HMC developed a workflow in SharePoint that allowed the director of maintenance to automate the intake of building maintenance request via dataview forms and process development. Once implemented, this new management system saved the maintenance department significant time in managing and communicating with home directors, maintenance staff, and vendors.
