Tools We Use - LastPass

Categories: Tools

The tool I've chosen to write about this week is LastPass. High Monkey uses LastPass to store all of our client passwords and login information in one place. We do this by leveraging LastPass’s Shared Folders. Everyone on the production team has access to the Shared Folder for Clients, Internal Development Sites, and Internal Software.

These folders contain login information that will automatically populate the username and password fields or notes which can contain any important information needed for logging in, like VPN info or who to contact if your password expires.

Below is an example of what is inside our Shared Internal Development Sites folder.

In this example, you will see the login information items for a couple of our development Kentico environments. To use the information, you can either click directly on the item to “Launch”, or open the item and copy the username and password from it.

LastPass is great for High Monkey to keep all of our login information available to our production team and keeping us productive! LastPass is also very secure and you can run audits on your passwords that are stored within it to ensure that those passwords are at the highest level of protection and best practices. An all around great tool!
